Sometimes our hair is just crying out for help, and hair masks are the perfect way to bring our hair back to life! Whether your hair is dry and damaged or very oily, we have the perfect hair masks for you to try.
Mask 1: Mix 1 egg yolk, 2 tbsp of Coconut Oil, and 1 tbsp of honey together. Leave the mask on for 30 minutes and repeat it once a week. The coconut oil works like a leave-in conditioner for the hair and makes it extra soft and moisturized. The honey helps regulate and retain moisture while also strengthening the hair follicles which will help your hair grow! The proteins in the eggs strengthens and rebuilds any damaged ends. All of these components will help revive dry and damaged hair.
Mask 2: Combine 1 banana, 2 tbsp of Olive Oil, and 1 tbsp of honey. Keep it on for 15 minutes and use once a week to bring life back to your dry hair. Bananas contain something called folic acid that makes your hair shine and keeps it hydrated. Make sure to rid of all chunks when mixing the banana in your mask, and don't let the mask completely dry so that you can easily rinse out all of the banana from your hair. The olive oil gives that silky shiny look that your hair is craving.
Mask 3: Mix 2 raw eggs, 2 tbsp of honey, and one cup of mayo. Leave it on for 20 minutes and you can do this mask 1-2 times per week. Mayonnaise is comprised of egg yolks, oils, and vinegar which all help nourish and moisturize hair. The amino acids in the mayonnaise benefit the scalp and contribute to healthy hair growth.
We also suggest trying our Intensive Recovery Mask by BeautiMark which helps revive chemically processed human hair. With it's mixture of Avocado oils, Goji and Acai berries, it nourishes, strengthens, and rejuvenates damaged hair!
Mask 4: Mix 1 lemon juiced, 1 tbsp of honey, and 1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar. Leave this on for 15 minutes and repeat every other week. The lemon juice will enhance shine and eliminate any signs of oily limp hair. We recommend using freshly squeezed lemon juice instead of the prepackaged kind to avoid preservatives. Also, make sure to watch the time since lemon is a bleaching agent you don't want to leave it on longer than necessary.
Mask 5: Combine 4 strawberries, 2 tbsp of Jojoba Oil, and 1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar. Leave this mask on for 15 minutes and repeat every other week. The vitamin C in the strawberries help control the pH balance in your scalp which will control the oil production. Strawberries are also known to help with hair thinning or hair loss due to the ellagic acid which strengthens your hair. Jojoba oil is very beneficial for the scalp because it dissolves buildup and will remove any blockage occurring in the hair follicles which will boost healthy hair growth.
